In French times, farmers in Puivelde wore red shirt-skirts while threshing. Hoofbeats shattered the silence. French soldiers rode past.
2 The Fire
The French saw red shirt-skirts and thought of resistance soldiers. They opened fire. A brave man cries out: They have our Money, but not our Land! The words echo across the field.
3 Captivity and Liberation
The man is captured and locked up. Months later the sentence is rendered. But before execution the resistance breaks through. Brave people liberate him. Freedom wins.
