East of Spa stretches a vast peatland, famous and infamous as Malchamps. This is no ordinary swamp, but a place where darkness dwells and nature tests wanderers with fear and deception.
1 Chapter 1: The Bog of Damnation
Malchamps is no place where sin remains innocent. The marsh stretches like a giant sponge, sucking, greedy for damper ground. The soil beneath your feet is softer than flesh, and the air is heavy with poisonous gas. Navigate here wrongly and you disappear forever in the deep sludge.
2 Chapter 2: The Wild Lights
But the greatest threat does not come from the marsh itself, but from invisible lamps that appear at night. They flicker and dance above the water, blue and green, luring wanderers deeper and deeper. Some say they are ghosts, others claim they are gas. But not a single traveler who follows the lights returns alive. Their bones remain in the slime.
3 Chapter 3: The Warning
The locals know better than to enter Malchamps at night. They leave offerings at the marsh’s edge and whisper warnings to passersby. Whoever is too stubborn and goes anyway hears the laughter of the lights and feels the marsh pulling at their ankles. Malchamps demands its toll, and nature always pays back.
